There will be cake and drinks after the 10am service donated by Peter and Zillah Westwood.
Annual Cassock Washing. Each summer break we like to get all the choir and server cassocks and surplices washed and ready for the new season. It would be greatly appreciated if people could offer to take a washing machine load during August. There is a list in the choir vestry and Claire or Ruth are ready to help any volunteers after the 10am Sunday service.
Emma Ash our new children’s coordinator and youth worker: St Stephen’s is in the lucky position to have been able to appoint a part-time children’s and youth worker. Emma will start resourcing our Sunday school and also launching a new Friday Evening youth club from 1 September.
Stephen Weil is looking to set up a Sydenham Hill Neighbourhood Forum (SHNF), to cover the northern (=Southwark) and southern (=Lewisham) slopes and crest of Sydenham Hill. Please email Stephen if you are interested in joining this: email@example.com
Many thanks to Angela Emmott for hosting a lunch last week! This fundraising supports the work to help families who continue to manage on minute finances whilst they bring up Aids orphaned children.
