Please note our special arrangements for Sunday 25 November when we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the building of this church. There will be a special reception after the 10.00am service with talks on the history of this building as well as a children’s competition. During the festival service we will hear the first performance of a Mass setting by Nicholas Ansdell-Evans.
Our Solar panels covering the church hall are now installed and they have started generating electricity which we either use or feed into the National Grid. This is part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. It has been made possible by a local donor who is an enthusiast for micro energy generation and a member of our neighbouring parish of Herne Hill, and also by a significant financial contribution by Southwark Council. We also owe a debt of thanks to our churchwarden Sandra Potter, who together with Chelsfield Solar oversaw the installation process, which took over two years.
