Social Media for Churches training
Our Reader in training Susan Patterson is putting on a training morning for churches in our deanery about how to harness Social Media to benefit the mission of our churches. Saturday (16 February) 10.30am to 12noon in St Stephen’s Church. Members of St Stephen’s welcome!
We are appealing for new volunteers to help with pushing wheelchairs from Athol House (our Cheshire Home further up in College Road) to the church on Sundays. Please talk to the Vicar or Trot to find out what is involved. Training will be provided.
Christian Formation
Confirmation Preparation. There will be a deanery confirmation service on Sunday 12 May. Six preparation classes will begin on Sunday 3 March (6.00pm), please speak to the Vicar if you would like to be included in this confirmation preparation.
There will be a series of Bible Studies held every Tuesday evening during Lent based on the film ‘The Greatest Showman’. Details to follow.

World Day of Prayer
WDP is the largest ecumenical movement in the world, supported by Catholic and Protestant, Orthodox and Evangelical churches. It is alive and well in more than 120 countries worldwide. This year the service has been prepared by the women of Slovenia and locally our service is to be held on Friday 1st March at St Philip & St James Church Poplar Walk SE24 0BS at 2.15pm. ALL ARE WELCOME
Council for Christians and Jews – we are currently planning a visit to the Temple Church and the Beavis Marks Synagogue in the City of London on Friday 22 March. More details to follow.
