Sunday 31 March is the middle of Lent and therefore it will be Mothering Sunday. This will be an all age service of the Holy Eucharist. Bishop Christopher, our Bishop of Southwark, has asked that churches at that time will be asked especially to pray for unity and healing in our nation following two years of divisions over the UK’s leaving of the EU.
The concert last Sunday that St Stephen’s supported raised about £1115 for the medical research charity ‘Sarcoma UK’.
The Vicar is looking to put together a small Christian Aid Week (12 to 19 May) planning group. Please speak to the Vicar if you would like to help with this.
Confirmation Preparation continues next Sunday (24 March) at 6.00pm – please pray for all who are preparing for confirmation this year in particular for Jo, Kim, Elsie, Gioia and Saskia.
Our Lent Bible study course continues this Tuesday at 7.00pm and then every Tuesday in Lent to follow Rachel Man’s Bible Study Course based on the film ‘The Greatest Showman’.

St Stephen’s LENT APPEAL – our Lent appeal this year will go to the Kingswood Community Hub, especially the teaching of English as a Second Language there. There is a leaflet with some more information at the back of the church.
St Stephen’s Young Musician of the Year competition will be held on Sunday afternoon 12 May this year. Please pick up a leaflet and distribute to families with young musicians.
