Lent Study Course – During Lent our theological student, Jules, will be offering a series of Bible studies with music, looking at the Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross. Continuing on Tuesday 10th March, the evening will begin with a simple vegetarian supper together from 7.00pm and finishing no later than 8.30pm.  Sign up at the back of church, or email jules.soanes@googlemail.com, if you would like to attend these evenings at church and let Jules know if you have any special dietary requirements.  She looks forward to journeying through Lent with you.

Dulwich Passion Play 2020 is coming this Easter. Follow Jesus’s last days on earth in modern drama and music. Be an eyewitness to the Last Supper and the Garden of Gethsemane. See the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter morning, 9 – 12 April. Watch this space for more details.

Psalms, Psinging and Psandwiches! Come and explore psalmody at St John’s East Dulwich. A study of the Book of Psalms, with a chance to sing many. Featuring Revd Dr Adam Carlill from Oxford diocese. All welcome. Queries to John Webber, 020 8650 9164, maggieandjohn1@gmail.com.

Volunteering opportunities at St Stephen’s:

  • We need a fire and evacuation co-ordinator
  • We need more volunteers to help with the Friday night youth club, providing food and/or involvement in the activities
  • We need more servers to serve in the sanctuary on Sundays at 10.00am

Sir David Beamish, our Deanery Synod secretary, is appealing for volunteers from Dulwich to consider becoming church school foundation governors in our diocesan schools in Peckham, Camberwell and Walworth.  If you are interested, please speak to or email the vicar or the curate.

If you consider St Stephen’s to be your main place of worship, please consider joining the Parish Electoral Roll. This will allow you to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting in the election of PCC and Deanery Synod members.  Anyone hoping to stand for election to these must be on the Electoral Roll. The forms are at the back of the church.

Don’t forget to vote for our shortlisted entry in the Parish Pixels competition! https://www.ecclesiastical.com/latest-news/
