APCM report – The Young Musician of the Year was held in March 2023. We received a record number of entries for both Junior and Senior Categories and the standard of playing was truly exceptional, which makes judging it difficult! The competition is a chance for young players to perform in a very safe environment as well as the possibility of winning. The young people are always very supportive of each other, and it is lovely to see the church full of young musicians and their families from the local community.

In 2023 the Senior winner was Etty Ashton – harpist who has played for us at church a number of times this year. The Junior winner was Charlotte Johnson -violinist, who has also played for us, and the audience prize was awarded to Bertie Murell on the clarinet.
